Walid brings over 27 years of experience in international finance in emerging markets, having raised and invested more than $1 billion and executed over 30 transactions across investments and divestments in multiple industries. In 2011, he founded Gulf Capital’s private credit business, focusing on structured investments across Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey. Prior to that, he led the NBK Capital Mezzanine Fund and spent a decade at the International Finance Corporation, working in Washington, D.C., Istanbul, and Dubai.
