Walid has more than 24 years of experience in international finance in emerging markets. He has raised and invested more than US$ 800 million of capital for mezzanine and equity funds as well as structuring and executing several junior debt and structured equity transactions on the investment and divestment sides. Walid sits on the board of several companies in the Middle East and Africa region including ADES, an LSE listed oil and gas servicing company. Walid founded the private debt business at Gulf Capital in 2011 and previously headed the GSC Group - NBK Capital Mezzanine Fund where he made several mezzanine investments in companies operating in the Middle East and Turkey. Prior to joining NBK Capital in 2007, Walid spent ten years at the International Finance Corporation in Washington, D.C., Dubai and Istanbul. Walid holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and International Business from the George Washington University in the USA, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Institut Supérieur de Gestion, University of Tunis III.
